Panama will look to keep springing surprises at the Copa America 2024 when they square off against Colombia in the quarterfinals.
After losing their opening game of the tournament 3-1 to red-hot Uruguay, Panama dug in to cause an upset for host nation United States, coming from behind to secure a 2-1 win.
A comfortable 3-1 triumph over Bolivia followed as they claimed second place in Group C and booked their spot in the knockout round of the Copa America for the first time.
Colombia, meanwhile, have progressed to this stage for the sixth straight Copa America tournament, after finishing top of Group D with seven points from three matches.
After winning their opening two group-stage fixtures against Paraguay and Costa Rica by a combined score of 5-1, Los Cafeteros rescued a 1-1 draw against South American giants Brazil to maintain their position at the summit, extending their unbeaten run to 26 games under boss Nestor Lorenzo.
