Christian Kouame was on target as 10-man Genoa lost 2-1 to Torino in Sunday’s Italian Serie A game at Stadio Olimpico Grande.

Ivan Juric’s men started on a disappointing note following the expulsion of Romulo who picked his second booking as early as 28 minutes into the game.

However, eight minutes after the incident, the 20-year-old striker opened the scoring for the Red and Blues to increase his tally to three goals since teaming up with the side in the summer.

Late first-half goals from Cristian Ansaldi and Andrea Belotti sealed the win for Torino.

Kouame featured for the entire duration of the encounter while Nigeria international Ola Aina, on the winning side, replaced Lorenzo De Silvestri in the 59th minute.

Genoa are now winless in their last eight games which has seen them drop to the 14th spot in the log after 15 points from 14 ties.

Kouame will hope to return to winning ways with his side when they take on SPAL in their next league game on December 12.
