The UEFA Champions League final has turned into a global spectacle over the years with television and streaming coverage offered around the world. Moving the final to a weekend slot back in 2010 means maximum exposure for the 2022 edition between two of the most popular clubs on the planet: Liverpool vs. Real Madrid.
The match from the Stade de France just outside Paris will be carried in Canada by UEFA Champions League rightsholders DAZN, and fans will be able to stream the match live and on-demand on common devices.
Liverpool and Real Madrid will be facing off for the third time in a Champions League final with each team winning one of the previous two encounters. Their 2022 meeting is the capper of the 30th edition of the competition in its current Champions League format, and the 67th edition overall since its inception in 1955 as the European Cup.
Here's everything you need to know to watch the match in Canada.

What happens if Champions League final ends in a draw?
If Liverpool and Real Madrid are tied after 90 minutes (plus stoppage time), the match will simply go to a 30-minute extra time period made up of two 15-minute halves.
After the 30 minutes, if the scoreline is still level, the teams would move on to a penalty shootout. Each team would take a minimum of five penalties each, and if the shootout score is level after five rounds, each subsequent penalty kick round will be sudden death until a winner emerges.
The last Champions League final to need penalties to separate the teams was the Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid showdown played at Milan's San Siro in 2016. A 1-1 draw through 120 minutes was followed up by penalty kicks as Real Madrid were triumphant with Cristiano Ronaldo netting the clincher.
Liverpool path to 2022 Champions League final
Liverpool will be facing arguably their toughest opponent at any point in their Champions League run.
They were tested by Inter Milan in the Round of 16, but Benfica and Villarreal in the quarterfinals and semifinals were deemed a fortunate knockout round draw. Jurgen Klopp's men surpassed both with ease though they made things interesting at one point in each series.

Where is the 2022 Champions League final?
The 2022 UEFA Champions League final will be held at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France. The stadium is just minutes north of downtown Paris.
The Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey as previously designated as the host, but the finals venues were rearranged due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That meant the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg, Russia landed the 2022 final, but that also proved short-lived.
In February 2022, UEFA announced that due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Saint Petersburg would be stripped of hosting duties for the Champions League final. Instead, the final was moved to Saint-Denis.
This year's match will be the first Champions League final held in France since 2006. Real Madrid have already tasted success at the Stade de France, which hosted the 2000 Champions League final between Los Blancos and fellow Spanish side Valencia. Real won 3-0 behind goals from Fernando Morientes, Steve McManaman, and Raul.
