The UEFA Champions League is down to its elite eight, and there are a few familiar faces in the mix.
While Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus and Lionel Messi's Barcelona won't be among the final clubs, it still brings plenty of firepower and history. In the last 10 years, five teams have won the title — four of which are still alive.
Defending champ Bayern Munich and Canadian superstar Alphonso Davies will face off against a powerful PSG lineup that includes Kylian Mbappe and Neymar without top striker Robert Lewandowski (knee injury). These two clubs met in last year's final, with Bayern clinching its first title since 2013 with a 1-0 win. The French squad is still looking for its first UCL title.
In another quarterfinal fixture, it's the 2019 champs Liverpool facing off against a Real Madrid squad that won the title in 2014 and 2016-18. The La Liga club would like nothing more than to add to its haul of 13 Champions League titles.
The only other club in the quarters to win in the last 10 years is Chelsea. The EPL club's lone win came in 2012 when it beat Bayern in the final. They'll be going up against a tough Porto club that knocked out Juve on away goals. The Primera Liga squad has two titles (1987, 2004).
Manchester City and Dortmund close out the elite eight. Dortmund lost in the 2013 final to Bayern and has one win from 1997. On the flip side, the Premier League club has never won the UCL and has only reached the semis once, in 2016.
