Casemiro’s quick intervention to stop Ronaldo celebration
In United's dominant 7-0 win, Garnacho was in the mood to celebrate. After netting his first goal, he tried to channel his inner Ronaldo with the famous celebration.
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed Casemiro stepping in to stop him. The Brazilian midfielder, who shares a close bond with Ronaldo from their Real Madrid days, appeared to pull Garnacho away, perhaps to avoid sparking controversy.

Some fans on social media suggested Casemiro’s actions were to protect Garnacho from any potential backlash in Argentina, given Ronaldo’s rivalry with Lionel Messi. One fan joked, “Casemiro was stopping Garnacho from doing Ronaldo’s celebration coz they’ll kick him out of Argentina squad.”
But Garnacho, true to his fearless nature, shrugged off the intervention and celebrated his second goal with more flair. One fan wrote, “Garnacho is absolutely shameless. I love him.”
United fans will hope Garnacho’s bold celebrations continue as the team prepares for their next fixtures against Crystal Palace and a thrilling Europa League opener against Twente.
