Canada and Jamaica face off in the second leg of their CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal tie on Tuesday.

Les Rouges hold a narrow lead from the first leg last Friday, with Stephen Eustaquio's late goal giving them a 2-1 victory in a game that was delayed due to heavy rainfall in Kingston.

The tie is still nicely poised but there's no doubt that Canada head into the contest as favourites to progress and secure a place at next year's Copa America in the process.

They were comfortable winners over Jamaica when these teams last met at BMO Field in World Cup qualifying action back in March, and interim head coach Mauro Biello will be confident of a positive result.

While the winners of this quarterfinal move onto the Nations League semifinals, the losing side will drop into a playoff match for the right to earn at place at Copa America 2024.

Canada vs Jamaica prediction, odds

  • Moneyline lean: Canada (1.46)
  • Score prediction: Canada 2-0 Jamaica

Canada found it tough going in Kingston, and that makes their first-leg win all-the-more significant: they proved they were up for the fight. With Jamaica hamstrung by injuries, not least to West Ham United striker Michail Antonio, this looks like being an uphill battle in Toronto.

    Canada vs Jamaica best bet

Shamar Nicholson's equalizer in the first leg was the only goal Canada have conceded against Jamaica in the past four meetings between the nations. It was one of just six shots they managed throughout the contest, only two of which were on target.

Canada ran out comfortable 4-0 winners the last time Jamaica visited Toronto in March, and even though the Reggae Boyz will have to chase the game to overturn that first-leg deficit, the loss of Antonio to an ACL injury is a huge blow to their goalscoring threat. The hosts will likely be content to shut the game down and attempt to pick off the visitors on the break.

    Canada vs Jamaica prop bet

Lille forward Jonathan David hasn't scored in France's Ligue 1 since August, which is perhaps why his goalscoring odds are not especially short for this fixture.

However, he broke the deadlock in the first leg against Jamaica just before the halftime whistle to give Canada a lift, and given the home side are likely to find opportunities on the counter-attack as Jamaica attempt to overturn the scoreline, the pace of David makes him a major threat.
