Orlando Pirates have been linked with Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brillian Khuzwayo and former Mamelodi Sundowns shot-stopper Wayne Sandilands.

The Buccaneers were expected to make a move for SuperSport United keeper Ronwen Williams during the current July-August Transfer Window.

However, the Bafana Bafana international recently signed a new long-term deal with SuperSport and he's unlikely to leave Matsatsantsa anytime soon.

Pirates have reportedly since turned their focus to Sandilands, who is a free agent after his contract with Sundowns expired at the end of last month.

However, Sundowns have confirmed that they are currently negotiating a new deal for the 33-year-old shot-stopper, who has also been linked with Maritzburg United.

Bucs are said to have submitted an offer to Sandilands' representatives and the club is hopeful of securing his services.

Recent reports have also indicated that Chiefs keeper Khuzwayo, who is the second-choice at Amakhosi, is also on the radar of the Buccaneers.

However, the towering shot-stopper is still contracted to Chiefs until June, 2018 and Bucs will have to make an enticing offer to their fierce rivals.

Cape Town City striker Lehlohonolo Majoro remains the last player to move directly from Chiefs to Pirates midway through the 2013/14 season.

It remains to be seen whether Pirates will make a bid for the 27-year-old Khuzwayo, who remains Itumeleng Khune's understudy.
