Belgium and Slovakia enter the Euro 2024 party on Monday, as Group E play gets going.

Belgium's "Golden Generation" were tarnished by a disappointing first-round exit at the most recent World Cup in Qatar but, with several fresh faces in the team and some new energy, they look a revitalized outfit and have been unbeaten since coach Domenico Tedesco took over in February last year.

They may be flying under the radar in Germany and no longer among the pre-tournament favorites in many people's eyes, but they are certainly in with an outside shout.

Tedesco's side topped their Euro 2024 qualifying group and will look to extend their 15-game unbeaten streak when they face the lowest-ranked team in their group in Slovakia.

The Slovaks finished second in their Euro 2024 qualifying group behind Portugal to make it to Germany, and they enter Monday's clash on a high having thrashed San Marino and Wales 4-0 in their pre-tournament friendlies.

Belgium vs. Slovakia prediction

  • Score prediction: Belgium 2-1 Slovakia

Despite being blessed with a lot of talent in their "Golden Generation", Belgium have more often than not flattered to deceive in big tournaments. However, it would still be a huge surprise if they failed to open their Euro 2024 campaign with a win given their superior attacking quality, although Slovakia are certainly capable of making this a tricky contest.
