Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies is set to leave the club in 2025 as contract extension talks falter and Real Madrid close in.
The Canada international is into the final 12 months of his current deal at the Allianz Arena with no firm progress on a renewal at this stage.
As part of talks earlier this year, Davies is rumoured to have lowered his original salary request from €20m ($22.3m) to €17m ($19m) with Bayern Munich’s open to meeting the former.

However, with Real Madrid already reaching out to Davies' representatives, the Bundesliga giants have admitted defeat in their battle to retain the 23-year-old.
Reports from Spanish outlet Relevo indicate there will be no further negotiations in Bavaria with Bayern Munich believing Davies has made up his mind on a Madrid move.
UEFA rules state Davies can begin talks with Los Blancos at the start of 2025, as his contract moves into his final six months, but he cannot complete a free transfer until next summer.
Real Madrid will not change their stance over a January offer as they remain confident the player will complete his move at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
