Antonio Conte took charge of Tottenham Hotspur in late 2021 with the hopes of guiding the London club in its slow rise up the echelon of top Premier League clubs.
Instead, progress up the table seems to have stalled, and with his 20-month contract expiring at the conclusion of the season, there are serious questions about his future at the club.
Tottenham are in the mix for a top-four spot in the Premier League table, but an inconsistent string of performances means that qualifying to the Champions League again as a top-four club is no guarantee. Conte has failed to secure any extended run of form with his squad, despite another productive season from striker Harry Kane.
With speculation that the Italian could depart the club this summer, not least since their Champions League Round of 16 exit to AC Milan, The Sporting News brings you the latest in Conte's contract status with the Premier League side.

Antonio Conte latest contract news at Tottenham
While Tottenham fans having fallen in love with Antonio Conte during his time in charge of Spurs, it appears that it's no sure thing he will continue as manager following the 2022/23 season.
According to The Athletic's Jack Pitt-Brooke on March 7, contract talks were held between Conte and Spurs after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but did not result in a new deal, and they are "unlikely to be revived."
Pitt-Brooke went on to report that "there is a broad sense among the players that he is off at the end of the season."
Furthermore, a report from The Times states that Conte's time back home in Italy while recovering from gall bladder surgery has reinforced a desire to return to his home country following the season.
Spurs have just 12 more matches remaining in the Premier League season, they are out of both domestic cup competitions and now the Champions League, and are limping to the Premier League finish line desperate to keep hold of their Champions League place in the table.

Next Tottenham manager odds
Should Antonio Conte indeed depart the club, there are some familiar faces atop the betting lists to take over in London.
At the very top is former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino who is currently unemployed, having spent a number of successful years at Spurs before things fell apart in 2019. He has been without a job since departing PSG following the 2021/22 season.
Also high on the list is another unemployed manager: former PSG and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, who has yet to find a landing spot after leaving the Blues early in the 2022/23 season.
