Arsenal were unable to hold on in the dying seconds of their 2-2 Premier League draw at rivals Manchester City.
Mikel Arteta's team produced a superb rear guard action in the second half at the Etihad Stadium as they looked to dig in for a first win under the Basque coach back in Manchester.
Arteta sealed a first win over Pep Guardiola last season, but he was foiled in his push for a first victory in Manchester, as John Stones came off the bench to crash home an equaliser in the eighth minute of added time.

Arsenal were set in a low defensive block for the entire second half, following Leandro Trossard's controversial red card, as Arteta gambled on their defensive strength to win out.
Despite being seconds away from achieving his goal of a perfect display of defensive resilience, Arteta's tactics were criticised by Manchester United's multiple Premier League winning former captain Roy Keane.
"I give Arsenal credit for the way they sat in with ten men, but they still needed to do a little more in possession", as per quotes from Sky Sports.
"I just think they need to show a little bit more in these games" 🤷♂️

"Ultimately, you always felt a City goal was going to come. I just wanted to see another side to Arsenal and I didn't quite see it today.
"Before the game they would have took a draw. They just needed a couple more passes or players to win them a free-kick, get them up the pitch, that pressure was the key.
"A short corner at the end of the game cost them. They need to show a little bit more quality, decision making, they still need to show more in these types of games."
