New Liverpool boss Arne Slot knows he has to keep his work / life balance in check as he navigates the start of life at Anfield.
Slot has leaned on star man Mohamed Salah early and often to begin his Liverpool tenure, to great success. In what will likely be his final season at Anfield, Salah has been electric, scoring four goals and assisting four more in the first six Premier League matches.
He had a wonderful Champions League performance on Wednesday as well, bagging one of each against Bologna in a 2-0 win at home over the Italian side.

After the match, Slot was asked a number of times about his short time coaching Salah, and how the two have worked together. One question from an Italian journalist had Slot almost too effusive, but the Dutchman managed to reign himself in with a laugh.
When asked if he's "come to love" Salah since being named Liverpool manager, Slot replied humorously, “I always loved him," before rethinking his answer. "Well...no, I always appreciated him, but I love my wife."
He will be hoping the feeling is mutual, since the 32-year-old Salah is potentially in his last season at the club. He is in the final year of his contract signed back in the summer of 2022, and while he admitted "it is not up to me, it is up to the club," it certainly sounds like both sides have determined the coming summer is the best time for a parting of ways.
Still, that's not a parting of ways Slot is terribly excited about. "Mo has done really well today," the Liverpool boss said after the win over Bologna, "I'm happy with the way he does at the moment, and I'm not looking forward to next season."
"These players, like Mo, they will always score their goals if you just keep playing them."
