Chris Paul adds another milestone to his illustrious resume, climbing to third on the NBA's all-time assists list.

The 36-year-old needed just seven assists to pass Mark Jackson and tie Steve Nash, picking up his seventh dime in the first quarter of today's game against the New Orleans Pelicans with this drop-off to Devin Booker.


He had to wait till the end of the second quarter for his eighth assist of the game to pass Nash for sole posession of third place with this assist to Jae Crowder for three.


Paul was a his playmaking best, dishing out 18 assists to go with 14 points and seven rebounds in a 112-100 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

After passing Jackson and Nash, Paul is just 1,745 assists behind Jason Kidd for second all-time, while John Stockton is more than 3,000 assists ahead in first place.

After being named to the NBA's 75 greatest players list at the beginning of the season, Paul has added multiple milestones to his resume, last month becoming the first player in NBA history with 20,000 points and 10,000 assists.
