Camille Chat has been called up to France's Six Nations squad after Julien Marchand tore knee ligaments in Les Bleus' loss to Wales.

Marchand is facing a long absence because of damage done in the 24-19 setback in the opening game of the tournament Friday in Paris.

Hooker Chat will report for training Thursday ahead of the match against England at Twickenham three days later.

Chat last played for France against Argentina in November, having been troubled by a neck injury.

Marchand, who replaced captain Guilhem Guirado in the second half, will be out the rest of the season.
