Team Koe's sight remains on the gold medal.
The Canadian men's curling team's dominant start on Wednesday allowed the Canadians to ride a comfortable 8-3 win over Denmark after seven ends. With the victory, Canada clinches the second seed entering the playoff round.
Team Koe sat comfortable entering its matchup with the Danes. They were already in control of their own destiny and with Denmark, who has the fewest wins throughout the Olympics, standing in their way; Canada didn't take long to take advantage in the first end. Canada erupted for four points by the conclusion of the first end to set the standard early and ultimately provided a form of comfort.
Denmark suddenly contained the Canadians to hold on for a point, cutting the deficit to 4-1. Team Koe was scoreless for two of the first four ends but there was no sign of concern on their faces. The team, again, broke out to broaden the gap over Denmark.

The margin became complicated for Denmark to overcome. Shortly after the Danes added to their point total, the team had a brief discussion. They decided that the hole Canada created early on was near impossible to climb out of. Denmark chose to concede the match to Canada after seven ends, signaling victory for Team Koe.
With the dramatics of its round robin schedule, Canada can shift its focus towards the playoff rounds. Team Koe avoids top-ranked Sweden and awaits a meeting with the United States. The Americans, who previously defeated Canada 9-7, earned the third place seed after Wednesday's win over Great Britain.
