LeBron James got his fix in New York.
Last week, the three-time NBA champion and four-time MVP tweeted he had a "basketball Jones." Of course, he's been working out. (Who hasn't seen James' hilarious selfie dance breaks between sets in the weight room?) But there's no replacement for honing your skills in some good old-fashioned 5-on-5 against formidable competition.
NBA TRADE RUMORS: Cavs targeting Kristaps Porzingis in Kyrie Irving deal
James got it in a star-studded full-court run, battling against Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony as well as the likes of Cavaliers guards J.R. Smith and Dahntay Jones, Thunder big man Enes Kanter and Kentucky guard Hamidou Diallo among others at Life Time Athletic, a popular training facility in New York City among NBA types.
The footage is sickening with James, Durant and #HoodieMelo (the closest thing to Olympic Melo) going at in a free-flowing environment and showcasing their other-worldly skill sets. From James' raw athleticism, to the 7-foot Durant's handle, mid-range game and silky smooth jumper, to Anthony's ability to face up anybody and drain it right in his defender's face (sorry, LeBron), it's an incredible testament to the talent level among the NBA's best. You've got to check it out.
If that doesn't get you hype for the 2017-18 season, I don't know what will. James has to be bionic. The 32-year-old led the NBA in minutes at 37.8 per game last season, and he just can't stay away from the game. He's still itching for more.
Flew to NY just to do so then I'm going back back to Cali Cali for more run! 😂 https://t.co/ig8R4Sfg9d
