Before 16-year-old Laeticia Amihere was leading Canada to its second ever semifinal in the women's U19 World Cup — which concludes in Italy over the weekend —she was turning heads with this rousing slam dunk at a tournament in Hampton, Virginia.

Amihere scored 21 points on Friday to push Canada past China at the quarterfinals of the U19 tournament. Should her team get past Russia in the semifinals, it would likely face the tournament favorite U.S. team for the gold medal. She's averaging 13 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists for unbeaten Canada (5-0) in the event.
The 6-foot-2 Amihere, whose twitter handle is _Theblackqueen_ , was 15 when she threw down in Virginia, doing so after picking off a pass and going coast to coast to bring the house down. She has yet to dunk at the World Cup, but don't count out the King’s Christian (Ontario) High student just yet.
