Fantasy Football Week 4 Rankings: Quarterback image

Were you one of the few who started Brian Hoyer, Jacoby Brissett, Blake Bortles or Case Keenum? Probably not, but maybe we can help you find that sleeper/waiver-wire QB who puts up a huge fantasy weekend like they did last week. In fact, one of those four guys makes an appearance in the top-seven for the Week 4 QB rankings

The crazy week for quarterbacks featured backup Ryan Mallett with more points than Derek Carr and Philip Rivers, and nearly half the QBs score 20 points or more. Tom Brady scored the most points for the second straight week, and it's not out of the realm of possibility he could do it again.

For Week 4, two streaming options make the top 10 in Blake Bortles and Carson Palmer, and Eli Manning, coming off a strong performance, also has streamer potential.  The normally cure-all-fantasy-woes Saints defense didn't cure Cam Newton's issues, and heading to New England -- without Greg Olsen and possibly Kelvin Benjamin -- he doesn't look like a recommended play. Jay Cutler, who gets the Saints defense in London this week, couldn't figure out the Jets, making him also a hit-or-miss fantasy start.

Week 4 Fantasy Football Rankings: QBs

These rankings are for standard leagues with 6-point passing TDs.

Drew Brees, Saints vs. Dolphins (in London) From hurricane-ravaged Miami to Los Angeles to New York to London, the Dolphins are tired and just lost to the Jets. Brees has a big day.
Aaron Rodgers, Packers vs. Bears.  Bears did well at home in limiting QBs but struggled on the road vs. the Bucs.  A short week on the road makes Rodgers a top QB this week.
Tom Brady, Patriots vs. Panthers. Back-to-back 30-plus point weeks. Nuff said.
Russell Wilson, Seahawks vs. Colts.  He finally broke out for 33 fantasy points against the Titans in Week 3, and it should continue at home against a weak Colts secondary that allowed 26 fantasy points to DeShone Kizer.
Dak Prescott, Cowboys vs. Rams. Prescott looked good on Monday night, connecting on multiple deep balls and making big plays despite a meager 18 passing attempts. The Rams D/ST just got thrashed by Brian Hoyer, and Prescott can do the same.
Marcus Mariota, Titans at Texans. The Texans faced their first legitimate offense in Week 3, and Tom Brady ran right through them. Mariota is no Brady, but he still a strong offensive threat on the ground and in the air. He'll use both for a solid day.
Blake Bortles, Jaguars at Jets. Against the No. 1 defense, Bortles made the Ravens look like the No. 32 defense. Now he faces the Jets, albeit off a dominating performance against Jay Cutler, but the Jets still allow the 11th-most fantasy points a game to opposing QBs.
Carson Palmer, Cardinals vs. 49ers.  After struggling against a weak Colts secondary, Palmer put up 21 fantasy points over a Dallas defense normally strong against opposing QBs. Palmer has dominated the 49ers historically, and at home, this game should be no different.
Matt Ryan, Falcons vs. Bills.  The Bills have looked really good in stopping the QB this year, but it's been against Luke McCown and the Jets, an unhealthy Cam Newton, and Trevor Siemian on the road. Matt Ryan still has the Falcons offense rolling (29 PPG), and at home, they're even better.
Matthew Stafford, Lions @ Vikings. In three games, the Vikings have given up middle-of-the-pack points to opposing fantasy QBs. In three games, Stafford has the seventh-most fantasy points among QBs, and he will meet in the middle with a top-10 finish in Week 4.
Carson Wentz, Eagles @ Chargers. Wentz fell outside the top five for the first time in Week 3, and the Eagles offense as a whole struggled against the solid Giants defense. The Eagles don't run much, and the volume alone should help Wentz get back on track fantasy-wise.
Kirk Cousins, Redskins @ Chiefs. Did Cousins figure it out finally or was it thanks to a poor Raiders secondary? Either way, they face the Chiefs, who have held down Tom Brady and Philip Rivers. Cousins shouldn't do poorly, but his ceiling is limited.
Derek Carr, Raiders @ Broncos. He looked pitiful against the Redskins, and now he faces the Broncos, a team he struggled against last year and his whole career. He'll fare better than last week, but he won't be doing major damage either.
Eli Manning, Giants @ Bucs. Just like last year, the Bucs are hit or miss. They stopped Mike Glennon and the Bears for six points and 101 passing yards, and then let Case Keenum throw for 369 yards and three touchdowns. Manning just broke out 366 passing yards against a strong Eagles defense, so he could be a possible streamer this week.
Deshaun Watson, Texans vs. Titans. The Titans average the third-most points allowed to opposing fantasy QBs. Watson has a high ceiling this game, but whether or not he can reach it could be another story.
Trevor Siemian, Broncos vs. Raiders. In two home games, Siemian was one of the best fantasy QBs. He struggled on the road, but he's back home this week against a Raiders defense that cured Kirk Cousins' early season rut. It's hard to expect a third top-five QB week from Siemian, but he could easily have a solid fantasy day.
Jay Cutler, Dolphins vs. Saints (in London). The Saints defense put up an impressive day that forced Newton's benching, but can they do that two weeks in a row? Excluding a garbage-time touchdown, Cutler did get shut out by the Jets, so maybe, but Cutler should find fantasy points against this weak secondary.
Philip Rivers, Chargers vs. Eagles. Like Carr, it's hard to imagine Rivers putting up a horrible performance like he did last week. The Eagles, with the exception of last week, have done a good job limiting opposing QBs, holding down Cousins and Alex Smith, the No. 2 highest scoring fantasy QB.
Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers @ Ravens. Roethlisberger on the road against the Browns and Bears has been average. Despite the Ravens collapse in London, they'll be better at home, and Big Ben will continue his road struggles.
Andy Dalton, Bengals @ Browns
Cam Newton, Panthers @ Patriots
Tyrod Taylor, Bills @ Falcons
Brian Hoyer, 49ers @ Cardinals
Alex Smith, Chiefs vs. Redskins
Jameis Winston, Bucs vs. Giants
DeShone Kizer, Browns vs. Bengals
Case Keenum, Vikings vs. Lions
Jared Goff, Rams at Cowboys
Jacoby Brissett, Colts @ Seahawks
Josh McCown, Jets vs. Jaguars
Joe Flacco, Ravens vs. Steelers
Mike Glennon, Bears @ Packers
