Canada's perfect run through the men's beach volleyball competition at the 2018 Commonwealth Games continued with a straight-sets quarterfinal victory over Cyprus.
The Canadian duo of Samuel Pedlow and Sam Schachter made short work of their Cypriot opponents, taking just 46 minutes to record a two-set victory.
Pedlow and Schachter were dominant throughout, especially in the service game. While Pedlow's fastest serve was 20 kilometres per hour faster than anything either of the Cypriot duo could muster, it was actually Schachter who served up three aces.

Even with service superiority, it was Canada's consistency that Cyprus couldn't match, and the first set was a 21-17 win for the Canadians.
