Auclair went undrafted following the 2017 NFL Draft. Shortly after its conclusion, the Buccaneers signed Auclair to a three-year deal.
"That guy, to get him as a free agent is an unbelievable get for us," Bucs' tight-ends coach Ben Steele told ESPN. "We’re excited about his progress."
Auclair caught three passes for 17 yards during the Buccaneers' preseason slate.
While he made enough of an impression on the Bucs brass to warrant a roster spot, Auclair also gained notoriety for his appearance on 'Hard Knocks', when the Quebec native and NFL newcomer sang 'O Canada' in front of his Tampa teammates at a rookie event.
Auclair joined a Tampa Bay roster flush with tight ends, still carrying five after making its final roster cuts. Auclair is not listed on its updated depth chart; O.J. Howard, Luke Stocker and Alan Cross come in at one-to-three, respectively.
