NBA veteran Anthony Morrow says he was racially profiled by police in Georgia image

NBA veteran Anthony Morrow claims he was racially profiled by two police officers in Georgia recently, and he's calling them out by name.

Morrow, one of the game's top 3-point specialists, filed a complaint and then took to Instagram with a series of posts (NOTE: NSFW language) detailing an encounter he had with two Commerce, Ga., officers who pulled over the Georgia Tech product as he was driving from his native Charlotte, N.C., to Atlanta to pick up his daughter and bring her back to the Queen City for the weekend.

Morrow said the officers, whom he identified as "Officer Fuller" and "Officer Fleming," had K-9 dogs search his car twice after he initially denied their request to enter his vehicle. "He said, 'I think that's enough evidence for me to check your car,'" Morrow said, relaying a conversation with Officer Fuller after the dogs sniffed around his vehicle. "'He gave me a little bit of extra attention on your passenger-side window,' so I said, 'All right, go ahead.'

The officers found nothing, Morrow said.

Morrow said Officer Fleming also questioned him, asking him how much money he makes, among other things. "I got two uncles that's sherriffs. I'm not with that, 'F the police' stuff," Morrow said. "I'm with 'F the bad police,' 'unlawful police,' 'racial profiling.' That's what I'm against."

Same cops pulled him over saw me drive past and pulled me over. I'm using my platform for awareness. In the end They didn't find shit bc I didn't have shit and they tried to play it off as 'We're just doing our job' No probable cause, no drug scent, No indication of me being intoxicated. I posted this to let people know profiling is REAL no matter what your profession is. I fit the look of a guy driving a certain car that would have drugs and money in my car so I got randomly pulled over and violated. Officer Fuller and Officer Fleming down in Commerce, Georgia damn near pulled my car apart looking for drugs and money. Let's be clear I'm NOT with that F*ck the Police shit. I have Two uncles that are Sheriffs here in Charlotte, North Carolina and I would never want anything bad to happen to them. But we need to hold the unlawful and bad cops accountable.

Morrow also posted a screenshot of the Commerce police chief's contact information and encouraged others to post his videos to raise awareness.

Morrow, 31, is an unrestricted free agent after completing a three-year, $10 million contract he signed with the Thunder in 2014. A career 41.7 percent shooter from 3-point range, he averaged 5.5 points while playing 15.7 minutes per game last season with the Thunder and Bulls. Oklahoma City traded him to Chicago in February.
