Consider Adam Hadwin’s drought broken.

At the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, Hadwin remained among the top-10 on the tournament’s leaderboard. His position was never threatened as he kept pace and slowly crept upwards.

Heading into the tournament’s final round, Hadwin sat in fifth place. After two bogeys on the final nine holes, the 29-year-old would finish the invitational in fifth place. Hadwin shot 7-under par and was interlocked in four-way tie with Paul Casey, Scotland’s Russell Knox and Rory McIlroy.

Hadwin found success the moment he stepped up for the first hole. He remained at par through the first four holes, which included a birdie on the second. While he would bogey the fifth hole, Hadwin was consistent throughout the round by shooting at least par on the next nine holes.

He stayed at the back-end of the leaderboard’s top-10 — five strokes behind first place — and even though eventual winner Hideki Matsuyama ran away with the lead, Hadwin used the last nine holes to solidify a top-5 finish.
