Canada clinched the top seed in the mixed doubles curling playoff round with a 7-3 victory over the Republic of Korea in Draw 7.
After losing its opening match of the tournament, the Canadian duo of Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris responded with six straight wins in round robin play to emerge as the team to beat in the first ever Olympic mixed doubles curling competition.
With the match tied 2-2 through three ends, Canada used a strong middle-two to take a 5-2 lead and eventually pull away from the Korean team, requiring seven ends to seal the victory.

Canada will face the winner of a tiebreaker match between Norway and the People's Republic of China in the semifinals on Monday (time TBD).
Norway handed Lawes and Morris their only loss in group play on the opening day of the tournament, but finished group play with a record of 4-3. China also finished 4-3, but failed to put up much opposition against the Canadians in a 10-4 rout in Draw 3.
Switzerland will face the Olympic Athletes from Russia in the other semifinal.
