Summer McIntosh introduced herself to the swimming world three years ago in Tokyo at 14. Now, she's ready to take over. 

The 17-year-old is back representing the Maple Leaf this summer at the 2024 Paris Olympics. There are high expectations for the Toronto native, who is expected to contend for multiple medals in France. 

The young Canadian phenom is a four-time World Aquatics champion and two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, looking to add Olympic medals to her resume. McIntosh is the current world record holder in the women's 400m individual medley, for which she is the favorite for in Paris.

How many medals has Summer McIntosh won?

Entering the 2024 Paris Olympics, McIntosh did not own any Olympic medals. She quickly changed that once the Games started.

The Canadian sensation made headlines when she made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. At the age of 14, she was the youngest member of the Canadian team, finishing fourth in the 400m.

When is Summer McIntosh swimming next?

McIntosh is expected to compete in six different events. That means she will frequent television sets during the swimming portion of the 2024 Paris Olympics. 

She will be competing in the heats for each event, which will start at 5 a.m. ET on their scheduled mornings. The live broadcast will be carried by CBC, and can also be streamed on Fubo

When McIntosh swims in the finals each day, CBC will broadcast the races, starting at 2:30 p.m. ET each afternoon.
