There will be no delay for this year's Olympics.
After the Tokyo Summer Games were pushed back a year, there was concern the same might happen for the 2022 Beijing Winter Games. But that is not the case, as the first events are scheduled to start on Feb. 2 and run through Feb. 20.
Canada is once again poised to be a force in the Winter Olympics, just as it was back in 2018. In Pyeongchang, Canada finished with the third-most gold medals (11) behind only Norway and Germany, who both had 14.
Despite some key retirements in figure skating, Team Canada looks likely to finish amongst the highest medal-winners in the games, with a strong group of long track speed skaters. Both men's and women's hockey teams figure to be among the best, even after the NHL announced it would prohibit player participation in the games.

How to watch the Olympics in Canada

Just as it did for the Tokyo Games, CBC will host the broadcast for all winter games coverage. The network will have coverage 23 hours a day of all the games, complete with analysis, and live and taped events from Beijing. Broadcast partners TSN and Sportsnet will also carry events during the games.
For those hoping to stream the Olympics, there will be options to watch all the events on CBC Gem and the CBC Olympics app. Fans can also find highlights, replays and live events on CBC.ca during the games. They can also stream the Olympics through fuboTV.
There will be streaming options available through Amazon Prime Video, TV providers like Bell, Rogers, Shaw and Telus and through other connected TV devices via the CBC TV and CBC Gem apps.
