World Juniors 2022: Team USA schedule, scores, TV channel and streaming info for every game at IIHF World U20 Championship image

The United States will have a chance to defend its gold medal at the 2022 World Juniors with the tournament starting on August 9. 

After the initial tournament was canceled partway through the competition in December, the IIHF decided to kick it back up again in the summer months.

The United States enter as defending champs, having defeated Canada in the gold medal game of the 2021 tournament, only the fifth time in history the U.S. has been crowned World Juniors champions.

The team will be led this summer by Maple Leafs prospect Matt Knies, Wild prospect Brock Faber and Devils first-round selection Luke Hughes.

The format for the 2022 World Junior Championship consists of two groups of five teams playing a preliminary round-robin to determine seeding, followed by a single-elimination tournament.

As champions, the United States drew into Group A as the top team, where they will face off against Sweden, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

TSN and the NHL Network will once again be home to all of the action for the 2022 World Juniors.

The American audience can view the games live on TV on the NHL Network, or can stream them through fuboTV. E.J. Hradek will provide play-by-play duties for all games with Team USA. He will be joined by analyst Dave Starman and reporter Jon Rosen on the broadcasts.

According to Sports Interaction, the 2022 tournament is a four-horse race. 

Canada, Finland, the United States and Sweden are the clear frontrunners to win this year's tournament, with the Canadians holding the best odds at +116. All four countries are +400 or higher, while the other six teams are +1386 or lower.
