Tim Stuetzle is one of Germany's stars — a future NHL one too — and the kid showed why so many people speak highly of him on Monday night. The Senator's prospect scored not one but two beauty goals in Germany's clutch 4-3 overtime win against Slovakia.
In the first period, Stuetzle went to the net and deflected the shot past goaltender Simon Latkoczy. The point shot from Simon Gnyp was initially deflected by Florian Elias before Stuetzle got his stick on it for his second marker of the tournament.

In the second period, he tied the game with an end-to-end high-speed rush that should leave Senators' fans salivating — and fans of the NHL's other six Canadian teams nervous — for January. After picking the puck up behind his own net, he used his wheels to cut through the Slovak defense before putting the puck on net from the goal line. He did get a little help on the finish as it went off defenseman Simon Becar.

The 18-year-old German was drafted third overall by the Senators in October and signed a three-year entry-level contract on Saturday.
"Tim possesses an exceptional blend of both speed and skill and a playmaking ability that our fans are going to enjoy watching for several years to come," said Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "He's a dynamic forward who we expect to become a key piece of our roster as we continue trending towards icing an eventual elite-level team."
Stuetzle is expected to join the Senators in Ottawa after the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship wraps up.
