Winnipeg Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson left Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators in the first period with an upper-body injury.

Hutchinson, who is the team's No. 3 goalie, played just over eight minutes and allowed three goals on 15 shots before being replaced by Connor Hellebuyck.
Winnipeg is already without backup Steve Mason, who had arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.

The Jets' backup netminders join a lengthy injury list, which currently includes stars Mark Scheifele, Jacob Trouba and Paul Stastny.
Hutchinson was 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .933 save percentage in his only two appearances with the team this season.
Winnipeg, who entered play Tuesday second in the Central Division with 92 points, will likely have to rely on Hellebuyck more than planned down the stretch.
