Scheifele scored a power-play goal 2:10 into the third period. Setting himself up in the slot, Schiefele received a pass from forward Blake Wheeler and shot a one-timer past Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist.
A little over two minutes later, Jets forward Jack Roslovic scored to cut the Rangers lead to 3-2. Roslovic received a pass at the point and skated into the high slot, unleashing a shot past Lundqvist as he was screened.
Jets forward Bryan Little scored the game-tying goal with 2:30 left when he buried the rebound from forward Nikolaj Ehlers shot as Winnipeg was on the rush.
After a scoreless overtime, the game went into a shootout where both teams scored once in the first two rounds. Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey missed the net on New York's attempt in the third round.
Scheifele closed the game out by shooting from the slot, getting the puck past Lundqvist's glove side.

Scheifele's performance on Sunday gives him a five-game point streak. He has five goals and nine points over the course of the streak and 16 goals and 32 points this season. Wheeler's assist on Scheifele's goal was his 30th of the season, making him the first U.S.-born player to get 30 assists in 26 games or fewer.
With the win, the Jets are now on a three-game winning streak and still hold third place in the Central Division with 34 points. The Jets close out their three-game Tri-State Area trip on Tuesday when they face the New York Islanders.
