The Winnipeg Jets will be without the services of Adam Lowry for the next two games, after the forward was suspended without pay Monday for boarding Calgary Flames defenseman Oliver Kylington during Saturday's Heritage Classic.
Lowry will forfeit $71,138.22 and miss Winnipeg's game against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday and Friday's tilt with the San Jose Sharks.
The 26-year-old was given a minor penalty after he hit Kylington face-first into the boards behind Calgary's net during the second period of Saturday's game. After a hearing with the league on Monday, the two-game game was handed down.
Lowry was also suspended a pair of games in March after high-sticking Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg, and is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the CBA.
The sixth-year left winger has zero points through 12 games this season.
