William Karlsson was the difference maker for the Vegas Golden Knights against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday afternoon.
Karlsson tallied a goal in each period to lead Vegas to a 6-3 win. The hat trick was the first in Golden Knights history.

After Pierre-Edouard Bellemare opened the scoring, Karlsson gave Vegas a 2-0 lead when he finished a pass from Reilly Smith into the bottom corner of the net.

Toronto cut its deficit to two in the second period but Karlsson answered with another score to push Vegas’ lead to 4-1.
Karlsson scored again with just over 1:30 to play, securing a Vegas win and the franchise’s first hat trick.
The victory moved the Golden Knights to 26-9-2 on the year. Karlsson has now scored 20 goals in 2017-18.
