In the final preliminary game for 2020 World Juniors before the New Year, things are bound to get intense between the Czech Republic and Canada.

Both teams put up strong performances in their own rights on Monday; Canada was able to come up big and bounce back from an embarrassing 6-0 loss to Russia with a 4-1 victory over Germany. In the meantime, the Czech Republic was able to rally against the United States and prove its worth as a top competitor, forcing overtime and earning a point in the defeat.

Still, both teams have adversity to overcome, especially with key players injured and a lot at stake. Most notably, Alexis Lafreniere will remain sidelined with a leg injury as Canada looks to stay in the race for the top seed in group B. The Czechs have also lost a couple of significant players as well, including Jan Sir and Jan Jenik, who suffered a scary knee injury in Monday's loss — which helped the Czech Republic avoid the relegation round. For this year's host country to advance in the tournament, they need Russia to beat Germany in regulation on Tuesday or need at least one point out of their game with Canada.

Here's how to watch Canada's matchup with the Czech Republic, which kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
