Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice was tight-lipped on Monday when asked for an update on defenseman Tyler Myers, who was hurt in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild during a second-period collision with Marcus Foligno.
Maurice, who was not at all happy with the play, did not provide an update on Myers' lower body injury. Nor did the coach provide a health update on injured Jets defenseman Toby Enstrom, who has been out with a lower body injury since March 23.
#NHLJets HC Paul Maurice didn't have an update on the status of D Tyler Myers. While he didn't expand in his answer, Maurice didn't like the play that knocked Myers out of the game involving #mnwild F Marcus Foligno. Here's the full exchange on the subject: pic.twitter.com/OVhExzkw98

The Jets lead their best-of-seven first-round series with the Wild 2-1. Game 4 is set for Tuesday night in Minnesota.
Myers remained on the ice for several minutes before he was helped into the locker room after the awkward collision Sunday. Foligno appeared to fall into the back of Myers' right leg near the end of the second period, forcing the Jets defenceman awkwardly into the boards.

Foligno told reporters after the game, "there was no intent to hurt" Myers, and pointed out they were previously teammates and friends while with the Buffalo Sabres.
It was a painful end to what began as a positive period for Myers, who scored the Jets' second goal of the night with a booming slap shot 6:42 into the frame.
While Myers' condition is unknown, the 28-year-old has a history of injuries. He underwent knee and hip surgeries in 2016, and missed several more weeks in early 2017 following an unrelated lower body injury.
However, Myers had no health issues this season, as he played in all 82 of Winnipeg's regular season games, recording six goals and 30 assists.
So far, he has two goals and an asisst in the first three games against the Wild.
