Before the year closes out, Canada faces its biggest test of the 2021 IIHF World Juniors when the squad takes on Finland on New Year's Eve.

The Canadians steamrolled through their first three opponents — Germany, Slovakia and Switzerland — by a margin of 29-3. But now the squad will face a Finnish team that is littered with NHL prospects, including Panthers 2020 first-rounder Anton Lundell, Maple Leafs prospects Topi Niemela and Roni Hirvonen and the Jets' Ville Heinola.

"It'll be fun," Canadian defenseman Kaiden Guhle said during Wednesday's media availability. "Our next games, for the rest of the tournament, are going to be like that, gonna be tough. So, it's going to be good to get that game in against Finland and kind of feel out what the rest of the tournament is going to be like. It'll be a good test for us for sure."

Fireworks are sure to come in this one as the two teams battle it out for the top spot in Group A. Two years ago, Finland knocked the Canadians out in overtime in the quarterfinals before winning gold, and in 2020 it was Canada with a convincing 5-0 win in the semis. Heinola was involved in both of those games, and you know he'd like to get above .500 and take on the fourth-place team in the other group in the quarterfinals.

Here's how to watch Canada and Finland close out the group stage on New Year's Eve.
