Patrick Marleau keeps climbing the charts.
Less than a week after taking sole possession of the seventh-longest streak of consecutive games played in NHL history, Marleau tied Maurice "Rocket" Richard on the all-time scoring charts.

In the first period of the Toronto Maple Leafs' 7-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, Marleau potted his 544th career goal to move him into a tie with Richard for 30th-best in league history. Parked in front of the Devils' net, the 39-year-old controlled a Nazem Kadri pass with his skate before quickly knocking the puck past Keith Kinkaid.

Marleau's goal was his ninth of the season in his 34th game. He also has 10 assists so far in the campaign.
