Leafs honor Johnny Bower with pre-game tribute image

The Toronto Maple Leafs honored the late Johnny Bower with a pregame ceremony Tuesday night before their game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. 

Bower, who won four Stanley Cups with the team in the 1960's, died on Dec. 26 at the age of 93.

Prior to the team's first home game since Bower's passing, current Leafs' players paid tribute to the Hall of Fame goaltender by donning his No. 1 jersey during the team's warm-up.

The team also paid its respects to Bower during the pre-game tribute by lowering his banner in the rafters of Air Canada Centre.

The Maple Leafs will continue to honor Bower for the remainder of the season by wearing "JB" patches on their jerseys and stickers on their helmets.

On Wednesday, the team will also host a Celebration of Life event at Air Canada Centre honoring Bower at 3 p.m. ET.
