The Stars beat the Avalanche in Denver 4-1 in Game 3, pushing them in front of the series 2-1. Dallas was an NHL-best 26-10-5 on the road during the regular season and has won three of four playoff games away from American Airlines Center.

Tyler Seguin and Logan Stankoven scored two goals each in the contest, sealing the win. Jake Oettinger saved 28 of 29 shots faced for a 96.6 save percentage, two of those saves made on crucial power plays.

Mikko Rantanen scored the lone goal for Colorado in the second period, but the Avs offense wasn't able to catch up after that. Alexander Georgiev had 19 saves before being pulled with just under two minutes to go.

Dallas now has a chance to go up 3-1 before returning home for an inevitable Game 5. The 2022 Stanley Cup winners must pull out a crucial victory at home if they want to keep themselves in the series.
