It was an avalanche of goals in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, but it was all in one team's favor.

Colorado throttled Tampa Bay 7-0 on Saturday night to take a 2-0 series lead. The Avalanche got two goals each from Valeri Nichushkin and Cale Makar, while Josh Manson, Andre Burakovsky and Darren Helm registered the other tallies. Mikko Rantanen had three assists and  Darcy Kuemper made 17 saves in what was tied for the second-largest shutout victory in Stanley Cup Final history.

It was one of the worst performances we've seen out of the Lightning, and the seven goals allowed by Andrei Vasilevskiy was tied for the most he has given up in a game in his career.

Tampa Bay is in desperate need of adjustments ahead of Monday night's Game 3; otherwise, it runs the risk of falling behind three games to none in the series. Colorado, meanwhile, is looking to keep on rolling and get closer to hoisting the Stanley Cup.
