The Panthers and Oilers are set to face off for the Stanley Cup with the best-of-seven series starting on Saturday, June 8.

This is a redemption trip for Florida, which lost on this stage last year to Las Vegas. The Panthers faced some tough opposition to get here, needing six games to beat the Rangers and Bruins after needing just five to dismiss the Lightning in the opening round. The Eastern Conference champs seemed more determined than ever to return to this moment, ripping off three straight against New York.

The Oilers are back in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since losing to the Hurricanes in 2006. Edmonton has had its share of close calls this postseason, needing six games in the last series against Dallas. They also needed all seven games to beat Vancouver after falling behind 3-2 the prior round, and five to come out victorious in its first-round clash with the Kings.

Connor McDavid as expected has been the catalyst for this run. The 27-year-old star is playing some of his best hockey.
