The Calgary Flames announced Wednesday that they have signed fourth-year forward Sam Bennett to a two-year contract.
Bennett, 21, had 13 goals and 13 assists in the 2016-17 regular season for the Flames, and added two goals in four playoff games.

The native of Holland Landing, Ontario, had completed his three-year entry level contract after being drafted fourth overall in the 2014 NHL Draft, and was a restricted free agent heading into the upcoming season.
Bennett has played in 159 regular season games and 15 playoff contests for the Flames.
