Sam Bennett delivered late in the third period for the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.
The Flames and Canucks were tied at 2-2 with just over a minute to play when Bennett brought the puck along the boards and in front of the net. He lofted a backhanded wrist shot over the pad of Vancouver goalkeeper Anders Nilsson to give Calgary the lead. The Flames went on to score an empty net goal to secure the 4-2 victory.

Earlier in the third period, Calgary tied the score when Matthew Tkachuk received a cross-ice pass and sent the puck into the back-of-the net while tripping over a stick. Tkachuk finished with two goals in the contest.
Calgary moved to 16-12-2 with the win while Vancouver fell to 14-12-4.
