The Rangers entered Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals Sunday riding the momentum after securing an overtime winner at Madison Square Garden just days prior. With the series all square at one game a piece, history repeated itself once more with an all-time classic Sunday afternoon in Sunrise.

Another overtime goal from Alex Wennberg nearly six minutes into the extra session gave the Rangers a 5-4 win and a 2-1 series edge entering Game 4 Tuesday night.

Florida had trailed late in the third period, 4-2, before madness struck late in the final minutes behind tallies from Aleksander Barkov and Gustav Forsling.

Despite the brief bit of adversity, Wennberg said his team never became discouraged.

“It doesn't matter who's the hero,” Wennberg told reporters after the win. “It doesn't matter who does it, we have everyone fighting for one another. Yeah, maybe I haven't put up the same amount of points [since joining the Rangers in March], but we're a team. Everything we do we do together."

The theme of togetherness will have to remain intact entering Game 4, as the Rangers attempt to take a commanding 3-1 series lead and move one step closer to the Stanley Cup Final, which would be their first appearance in a decade.

As for the Panthers, it’s back to the drawing board again, as a 1-0 series edge has evaporated in less than a week.

Will the Rangers keep the series on their side, or will the Panthers’ home-ice advantage be enough for the series to go at least six games?
