The Winnipeg Jets have tied it up.

Kyle Connor's overtime winner on Tuesday powered the Jets to a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues in Game 4 of their first-round series. The Jets claimed their second straight victory as they erased a 2-0 series deficit, winning two on the road after the Blues had done the same to open the series.

Tuesday's low-scoring affair featured no goals through the first two periods, with both teams saving their opening goals for the final frame. It was actually the Blues who got on the board first, needing just 35 seconds of the third period before Vladimir Tarasenko scored on the power play to give St. Louis the lead.

Mark Scheifele equalized just under seven minutes later, setting the stage for an overtime period that would either keep momentum with the Jets or give the Blues a stranglehold on the series.

Six minutes into the sudden-death period, the Jets drove into the St. Louis zone. With several Blues focused on Scheifele and Wheeler, Connor drifted to the goalmouth unnoticed and calmly redirected a Scheifele feed into the wide-open net.

The goal was the first postseason overtime marker for the Jets in franchise history, but more importantly it lifted the team back on equal terms with the Blues after four games. St. Louis had appeared well on the way to taking the series after winning the first two games in Winnipeg, but Tuesday's result coupled with a 6-3 Game 3 Jets victory reduces the series to a best-of-three with the Jets holding home ice advantage.

The teams will meet for Game 5 in Winnipeg on Thursday.
