The legend of Justin Williams added another chapter Wednesday as the Cinderella Carolina Hurricanes continued their magical run.
The Hurricanes' captain scored the game-winning goal in Carolina's 5-2 victory over the New York Islanders in Game 3 of their second-round series. The Hurricanes now lead the Isles 3-0 in the best-of-seven and will go for the sweep at home Friday.

Williams delivered his dagger in the third period after a New York giveaway. He drove to the net and converted a feed from Sebastian Aho, who had intercepted a clearing attempt up the boards by Islanders goaltender Robin Lehner.
“That was Sebastian doing Sebastian things,” Williams told reporters after the game. “That was probably my worst (scoring) chance of the night and that one wound up going in.”
After scoring his eighth career playoff game-winning goal, Williams now has two goals and three assists in 10 games in the 2019 postseason. The 37-year-old winger and 18-year NHL veteran has 37 goals and 99 points in 150 career playoff games.
