Dion Phaneuf can't stop scoring for his new team.

The Los Angeles Kings' newest defenseman found the back of the net again on Tuesday night, giving his team the lead late in the second period.

Phaneuf received Alec Martinez's pass on the right point and fired a one-timer past Connor Hellebuyck to give the Kings a 2-1 advantage.

Since the Senators traded him to Los Angeles on Feb. 13, Phaneuf has scored three goals in four games, with each of those markers coming on the power play. The 32-year-old managed the same goal quota in 53 games with Ottawa this season before swapping sweaters.

"It feels good to be able to contribute," Phaneuf said after the game. "You want to come in and fit in with the group and you want to do anything you can to fit in and help the team."

He has definitely done that, as Los Angeles has now won its last three games. Dustin Brown, Torrey Mitchell and Alec Martinez added goals for the Kings and
Darcy Kuemper made 30 saves in the victory.

Phaneuf and the Kings will look to keep their hot streaks going when they return home to face the Dallas Stars on Thursday night.
