While the saying goes that hockey players are tough, you can also add "lucky" after seeing what happened to the Oilers Milan Lucic on Saturday night.
Lucic was cut on the neck by an errant skate during the Oilers game Saturday against the Vegas Golden Knights, which Edmonton won 3-2 in overtime.

After the victory, Lucic shared a photo on Twitter, and while it looks bad, with a cut in an incredibly scary place, all things considered this could have been much worse, especially when looking at his hashtag choice.

According to the official game sheet, Lucic logged 13:07 time on ice, his final shift coming at the end of regulation. He did not see the ice in overtime.
The play Lucic was cut on came midway through the second period. With Lucic carrying the puck out of the Oilers zone, he was spun to the ice by Vegas' William Carrier. As he fell, he also took down the Golden Knights' Tomas Nosek, whose left leg whipped up, his skate catching Lucic in the neck.

Lucic registered 2:32 of ice time that period, not taking another shift after that collision, according to the game sheet.
