The Kings will hold a pregame memorial service Thursday before their season opener against the Flyers to honor the victims and first responders involved in Sunday's mass shooting in Las Vegas, which killed 59 and injured hundreds more.
Among them was Christiana Duarte, a 22-year-old Redondo Beach, Calif., resident who had recently begun working for the Kings as a fan service associate, her first full-time job after graduating from University of Arizona in the spring with a degree in business marketing.

"Our organization is overwhelmed with grief over the loss of our colleague Chrissy. We would like to thank everyone for their outreach, love and support," Kings president Luc Robitaille wrote in a statement. "In just a brief period of time, Chrissy had an immeasurable impact on all of us. We want to make every effort to ensure that everyone knows how special she was and the impact she already had made on so many people. We would also ask that everyone please understand and respect her family's wish for privacy at this difficult time."
Duarte was one of 20,000 attending the Route 91 Harvest country music festival on the Vegas Strip when Stephen Paddock, 64, opened fire indiscriminately on the crowd from a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino across the street.
Duarte's family reported her missing Monday, and the Kings aided in the search.

The Kings said their pregame ceremony will include a moment of silence and a video, and players will wear a "CD" sticker on the back of their helmets during the game in honor of Duarte. The team is also planning to make a donation to relief efforts, and encouraged donations to Duarte's GoFundMe page.
Earlier this week, the NHL and the Vegas Golden Knights announced a joint donation of $300,000 to support victims of the shooting.
