Jaden Schwartz scored the first and last goals of the St. Louis Blues' meeting with the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night, with a second-period tally added in for good measure.
The 25-year-old's hat trick was the difference as the Blues won 5-2, with Schwartz showing some nifty moves in scoring his three goals.

Schwartz opened the scoring at 4:46 of the first period with an opportunistic backhander past a prone Corey Crawford in the Blackhawks' goal.
The Blues forward then scored his and the game's second goal at 5:59 of the second period.
As clinical as his first goal was, Schwartz harnessed a bit of magic to double his tally on the night. After receiving a long pass off the boards from goaltender Jake Allen, Schwartz raced in alone on Crawford and froze the Chicago goalie with a shoulder feint before rounding him and firing into the wide-open net.
Schwartz capped off his hat trick with an empty-netter, firing the puck from his team's zone into the open goal with less than a minute left in the game.
With the win, St. Louis improves to 5-2 on the season.
