Vadim Shipachyov may be on his way out of Las Vegas.
The Golden Knights have given Shipachyov's representatives permission to explore a trade, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
After leading the Kontinental Hockey League in scoring, Shipachyov focused on continuing his playing career in the NHL. In early May, he became the second player to sign with the Golden Knights but Shipachyov failed to crack Vegas' roster out of training camp. Shipachyov found himself being sent from the Chicago Wolves and Knights on a regular basis.

Shipachyov, 30, was recalled when forward Erik Haula was placed on injured reserve and he scored in his NHL debut. However, in order to make room for the returning Jonathan Marchessault, the Golden Knights sent Shipachyov back to Chicago. He has one point in three games.
Shipachyov will earn $9 million over two years with the Golden Knights and his contract calls for a cap hit of $4.5 million.
