Andersen wins 38th, a new Maple Leafs single-season record image

The Toronto Maple Leafs saw many franchise records fall this season. With the conclusion of game No. 82 on Saturday -- a 4-2 victory against the Montreal Canadiens -- goaltender Frederik Andersen established a new mark in the process.

With the victory, Andersen's 38th of the season, he passed Ed Belfour and Andrew Raycroft for the most in a single-season in Toronto franchise history.

It's been a busy season for the workhorse Andersen , who stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced on Saturday to earn the benchmark win. It was his 66th start, matching a career-high he set last season, but the 2,211 shots he faced this season were the most he's ever seen in his career.

With the win, the Maple Leafs also finish with 105 points in the standings, setting another club record. Toronto awaits the result of the Boston Bruins game against the Florida Panthers on Sunday to learn who its first-round playoff opponent will be. A Bruins victory in any fashion means that they would finish first in the Atlantic Division, and the Maple Leafs would face the Tampa Bay Lightning to open the Stanley Cup Playoffs. A Bruins loss means Boston would drop to second in the Atlantic, and would match up against Toronto.
